A Miracle!

A testimony from Dale and Jessie Fewson that will encourage you to persevere with prayer:

Our daughter Hannah was born with congenital hip dysplasia which means that her hip sockets weren’t round as they should be and her hips didn’t sit in the sockets as they should. Hannah was in a harness from 3-6 months and was still getting regular x-rays after the harness because the Specialist said that her bones were very immature and weren’t correcting as quickly as they should.

While all of this was going on Dad/Papa (Michael) prayed every night that the Lord would heal her hips from this disorder. At one of our last appointments the doctor said that she was concerned about Hannah’s left hip, it had stopped maturing and there was no change from the time of her last x-ray which meant that she needed further observation and x-rays and possible intervention if it got any worse. When we heard this news we were disappointed but Dad continued to pray with Hannah every night for healing.

This week we had an appointment with the Specialist and when she put Hannah’s recent x-ray up next to her older one her response was “If I didn’t see this for myself I almost wouldn’t believe it”, Hannah’s hips were completely normal! The Specialist measured the angles of her hips and was just amazed at how the hips could have changed that much in such a short time especially considering that Hannah’s bones have been slow to mature the entire time. Hannah has been completely discharged and does not have to have any more x-rays or appointments. Praise be to God for this amazing work that He has done!

Beyond Forgiveness

I was made aware some years ago that my mannerisms, the way I speak or approach others can be intimidating and/or discourteous. Though this is not my conscious intent it does not change the fact that I can produce in others a defensive or retaliatory response, especially from those who do not know me well. This means that I may find myself in a place of enmity from which I need to repent and rectify.

Space: A Vision of Total Discipleship

By John Yates—In the midst of a conversation dealing with the contemporary discipleship crisis, I sensed forcefully the Spirit saying that every space is holy and created for the making of disciples. This teaching is a call for disciple-making in a global context, for this is where the wisdom of God has confronted Western Christianity with two movements that expose its impotency.

Praising God in the Midst of Plenty

When a believer is found to be in the midst of adversity, it is natural to call out to Jesus for deliverance. However, it is not the need for help that stands out in Psalm 30, but the reason the Psalmist found himself in need of help.
